Physics General Course Content:
Students will be expected to use the scientific method as they participate in inquiry-based activities. Students will develop creative problem solving skills using advanced mathematics as the basis. Higher thinking skills will be developed by using technology and discovery type laboratory activities. This course is aligned with North Carolina Essential Standards for Physics.
Physical Science General Course Content:
In this class the student will develop abilities to do scientific inquiry to understand properties of the physical world. This course is an introduction to Physics and Chemistry. The student will be doing laboratory work to investigate the properties of these two sciences.
The student will also be developing skills in the laboratory such as collecting, identifying, and analyzing data. We will use various techniques to collect the data. A variety of equipment will be used and a safe environment will be maintained. The student will then identify the types of data and use graphing, inference, and charts to analyze the data to come to a conclusion.
